The PRIDE PARADE is key part of the Pride Festival it gives us opportunity to increase the visibility of our communities. We stand together to make a strong visible statement for equality and diversity, to celebrate our community and to show that hatred and prejudice has no place in our city, or anywhere.
This year we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, the birth of the modern day Pride Movement around the world. It is important to remember where we’ve come in that short time, celebrate where we are and keep fighting for a future of true equality for all.
The Parade will depart from the Jigsaw Garden (Nr Drake Circus) at 11am on Saturday 10th August with pre parade activities starting at 10am. There will be an official Pride in Plymouth stall selling flags, whistles, t-shirts etc. Please purchase your pride goodies from this stall as we do not receive any payment from the street hawkers – or have any control over the quality or safety of the goods they sell.
We have three bands this year helping make the Parade Louder & Prouder!

omg band will be parading with PRIDE through Plymouth City Centre on Sat 10th August.

A community samba band that play funky Brazilian carnival rhythms and upbeat tunes.

Nando’s Band will be joining us again for 2019 with their upbeat swing and Jazz.
