2022 marks ten years since Pride in Plymouth brought Pride Events back to the city. We began in Devonport Park in 2012, moved to the Hoe and recently have been massively affected first by the elements on the Hoe and then, of course, like everyone else by the Coronovirus Pandemic.
Also, it’s been increasingly hard to include everyone who wants to be part of the day in the eight hour window possible on the Hoe. Also, we want to share with people the work that Pride in Plymouth does all year around – Hate Crime reporting, heritage work, educational work in schools, Asylum Seeker advocacy etc etc.
We want to hear everyone’s voices and give everyone chance to bring to the Plymouth Pride Festival what they feel they need and what they would like to see being part of the event.
So, with that in mind, we’ve been kindly invited by Plymouth Albion Rugby Club to bring the event to their grounds where we can use mutiple spaces for multiple activities and have, for the first time, a TWO DAY festival.
The dates are 13th and 14th August so please pop that in your diaries now.

We’re also putting out an open call for what you want to see at the event so please contact us with your suggestions, ideas and comments or if you’d like to volunteer to help make this year’s event as sucessful as previous years.
We’ll be announcing details about the parade and after party shortly. Please let us know if you’d like to be be involved and we’ll be keeping you posted with details of organising meetings over the next few weeks.
