Its About People & Bringing People Together

Due to severe weather conditions on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August, specifically high winds, Plymouth Pride 2019 had to be cancelled with a view of rescheduling.

Unfortunately it was not possible to bring all the key people and necessary infrastructure together for another date in such a short time frame. Therefore the Pride in Plymouth Directors has taken the decision not to reschedule the 2019 summer pride festival. All monies raised  for 2019 will be ring fenced and will go towards the 2020 festival that will be of a key event in the Mayflower 400 calendar. As part of Mayflower 400 we will be presenting a series of events through the year building up to the main summer pride day in August.

New for 2019 – Acoustic Stage

We are delighted to announce that in the addition to the main stage on the Hoe, we will be introducing an acoustic stage. This will be programmed by Wonder Zoo and will include an eclectic mix of musicians, spoken word, poetry and queer performance. The Stage will open at 1pm and run through to 5pm.

    • This year the main stage and event will wind down from 6pm a little earlier than previous years as there is a lot going on in Plymouth in the evening with various venues hosting after parties. The Ocean City Jazz and Blues stage on the Barbican will be running until 10pm on Sat 10th August.
