Past Events
Pride in Plymouth have organised and presented various events in the city with the primary focus on ‘bringing people together’ to celebrate the diversity that exist within the LGBTQ communities. We have grown form a small boat trip and pub crawl in 2010 to presenting Pride on the Hoe in 2014.
Our volunteers work through the year on planning and organising our own events whilst also ensuring we can support and attend many events hosted by other organisations across the city, in the South West and further afield.
With each local event we attend we gain more supporters, volunteers, gather more of our history for inclusion in the lgbt archive, and get to meet a real mix of people and characters that all contribute to the vibrant diversity and culture that exist here in Plymouth.
Our attendance and support of national LGBT events and conferences helps raise the profile of Plymouth sharing our history and promoting Plymouth as a viable place to live, work, study and visit to members of the LGBTQ+ communities. We also learn about other organisations, their work and best practice, coupled with gaining first hand knowledge about international campaigns, which we can then promote and support locally.
