Have you noticed that there are few women in history? And that there are even fewer lesbians?
Jo Lewis plans to help change this and wants lesbians to talk about their histories, even create a ‘herstory’.
She would like lesbians to have their voices heard equally, to claim their part of our shared past.
Pride in Plymouth has a long running, award winning, LGBT archive that needs more lesbian voices. As part of the ‘In Other Words’ project Jo is running a very informal workshop/gathering to start to think about our pasts, and perhaps for some of us to eventually add our stories to the archive (if we like).
If you fancy a trip down a very Plymouthian memory lane and can make it to The Fortescue, Mutley Plain, on Thursday 25th February at 7.30 then please sign up on Herstory Workshop – Eventbrite so we know what numbers are interested.
